The Name
Every domain name has a story, right? E-R is no different...
So, as I mentioned previously (if you read the "domain" part of this site; if not,
for shame!) I've had the name endless-run in mind for a very long time.
Ever since I read they lyrics to Origa's "Inner Universe", the opening song from
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, which I've loved since the first
time I heard it. The lyrics are as follows (translated, of course):
...endless run...
while I'm alive, I can try not to fall while flying
not to forget how to dream... how to love
...endless run...
The phrase just seemes so mystical to me - it's like the summation of my
official "saddest concept", one which I've noticed seems to drive the majority of
my big fandoms ^^;, and which I've probably mentioned before somewhere on this
site: the concept of someone weary of life being denied the rest that they
deserve - an endless run.
Of course, like anyone going in to a long-term commitment, I got cold feet at the
last minute. I posted a poll on the TAFL boards,
asking for help on choosing a domain name from a list of alternatives I'd come
up with, that come from another favorite song of mine, The Garden of
Everything. I actually didn't expect anyone to like endless-run, but it
actually received the most votes. Fate, I guess :D So, with that reaffirmation in
mind, I went ahead and purchased the domain name on January 27, 2006.
And that be the story of endless-run

I love who have to endure an "endless run", you can go here
