Endless-Run
The wonderful story of my domain, endless-run, it's name, and how it came to be.
There were tears, there was anger, and a whooole lot of whining. Truly an epic
tale...

Origins
When I first started getting interested in web design, I actually laughed at
the thought of ever having my own domain - I thought, "why would I need a domain
when I can get hosted by other nice people, for free, and have basically the
same thing?" And actually, that line of reasoning lasted for a fairly long time.
For about a year, actually, I was completely fine with being hosted by other
people, and keeping four subdomains - one for my personal site, one for ROA, and
eventually two for my fanlistings.
But then that damn thought kept creeping in -
"if I had a domain, what would I name it?" (one thing about me: I love naming
things). Then I came up with a name - endless-run. I harbored that
name and that thought, and it festered and festered, until finally, the desire
to have my own domain, my own DOT whatever, just overwhelmed my rational judgement.
I bugged my parents for a pretty long time (well, let's see...I started asking in
August of 2005, and the domain was purchased in February of 2006, so...seven
months) because I had no job and thus could not afford my own domain. My mom
actually agreed in November, but I was bogged with school, and couldn't even
contemplate opening a domain. Finally, in early February of 2006, my mom offered
her credit card for the last time, and I accepted, and purchased the domain you
see now, ENDLESS-RUN.ORG!
I purchased my domain name from Go Daddy, and
hosting from Web Hosting Buzz,
both of which were cheap and are awesome and have cause me virtually no problems.
So if you're in the market for domain name registration/web hosting, I
definitely recommend them.
